Bed Bugs Under Wood Floor

Look for them in mattress seams box springs and headboards under loose wallpaper behind light switch plates in the seams of upholstered furniture and under carpeting near baseboards.

Bed bugs may infest wood floors if they can find a spot to hide from sunlight. If you have a bare tile or wood floor consider using a damp cloth or map to. They only grow to be about 3 16 inch long and feed on blood. The least desirable floor in my estimation is hardwood.

Bed bugs are on the comeback primarily because of an apparent resistance to pesticides and because of more travel by people around the world. Bed bugs live inside and like to feed at night.
Hence the name bed bugs. Therefore they are usually found near beds. Floorboards with cracks in them especially under the bed make good bed bug harborages.
